Inspiring Everyone From the NYC subways to NBC’s ‘America’s Got Talent’

This particular post was pretty difficult to categorize. This is simply because it has the ability to inspire anyone who dares to follow their dreams using God given talent. Anyone who has rode the NYC subway has had to encounter these young lads. Either together as a duo or apart….

Introducing….Nothin But Strings!!!

Allow me to paint the picture for you…

So you’re on the ‘A’ or ‘D’ train heading to a casting (or your mom’s eggplant party) when a young man comes aboard your particular subway car. As he so politely asks for your attention please, you just know he’s going to either try and sell you candy or start break dancing. Before your stereotypical mind really just blows him off, you decide to take in what’s before you. Let’s see. Young african american male, about 5′10”, caramel skin tone, urban attire, toting a…..wait a sec- What is that in his hand? Is that a guitar?
As he very humbly unleashes his instrument you realize- Holy Crap! That’s a violin!

Must see footage….

Oprah, Kanye West, Mary J blige and Forest Whitaker comment on Mr Barack Obama’s historic speech exactly 45 years after the legendary ‘I Have A Dream’ speech by the iconic Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.

A Boston fan gets into it with the NYPD. Only in New York brethren, Only in New York.

And just when you thought it was safe, more cop violence….

One question- - Were you appalled or did you laugh your arse off? Just wondering.
All we have to say about this next one is….CLASSIC.

i leave the idiot tube on while i online. i admit it.

Earlier this year, Goldman Sachs, the biggest investment bank on Wall Street had a grim prediction about 2008: A recession is definitely on the way. “The recession is likely to last two to three quarters and should be relatively mild by historical standards, with a cumulative decline in real GDP of only about a half percent,” Goldman economists’ Jan Hatzius and Ed McKelvey said in a research note.

They make it sound so benign though don’t they?

The fact is a recession is a recession. Here’s a general breakdown of all this “recession stuff”. Read the rest of this entry »
